A fun treat for holiday get togethers.
- 1/2 c sugar
- 1-1/2 t salt
- 1-1/2 t chili powder
- 1/2 t cinnamon
- Pinch cayenne
- 1 egg white
- 2 c pecan havles
- Preheat oven to 300 deg F and spray a non stick pan with cooking spray.
- Mix sugar and spices in a small bowl. Set aside.
- Beat the egg white and toss in the pecans to coat.
- Sprinkle with spice mixture, coating evenly.
- With your fingers, one by one, lift the pecans out and transfer to the baking sheet keeping them separate.
- Bake for 30 to 35 minutes. Then cool for 5 minutes.
- Transfer to another sheet to cool completely, separating them as needed. They will keep, covered in a dry place, for 5 days.
